SHANE MORAN- MUSICIAN

Shane-MoranShane Moran is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist from Mayo, Ireland. He started the Tin Whistle aged 9 and then progressed to the Banjo aged 11 and thought himself the Guitar aged 18. He also plays the Mandolin and the Tenor Guitar.

His professional music career began when he set up his own show called Coastal Steps which took place in Galway, Ireland when he was 19 which proved to be a major tourist attraction and it was chosen as one of the acts for the closing ceremony of the Volvo Ocean race in 2011. He was then asked to join The Spirit Of Ireland in 2013 as a Guitarist and Vocalist and performed throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He then returned in 2015 as the Musical Director for the show.

He joined Rhythm Of The Dance on Banjo and Guitar in 2013 and toured extensively throughout Russia, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, America, Canada, The UK, Israel, Romania and Azerbaijan. He was then cast as an original member of “Ireland Rises” which took place in Dublin during 2015.

He has had many highlights so far in his career such as performing at the prestigious Kremlin Palace in Moscow, performing at the closing ceremony for the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan and also performing alongside country music legend Dolly Parton at her theme park “Dollywood” as part of the Festival Of Nations.

Shane is delighted to be joining the cast of Celtic Nights and is looking forward to returning to America and Canada.
